The
clubs AGM is to be held on Tuesday 10th June @ 7.30 pm @
Dereham ABC, 17, Bertie Ward Way. Dereham.
Dereham and District ABC was formed in 1935 and for the last 30 years
the head coach has been Joe Perry. Over the years the club has had 26
Eastern County Champions and had a boxer at the schoolboy ABA Finals.
The Attleborough Community Gym was officially opened on 10th March
and is under the umbrella of the Dereham Club. The town of Attleborough
has also had a long association with the sport and memorabilia including
programmes and original ringside bell from the 1950’s is displayed
at the Gym.

Welcome.....
The
Gym is affiliated to the ABA as part of Dereham and District Boxing Club
and was
opened on 7th March by Norfolk’s very own current
boxing champion – Jon Thaxton. The premises were transformed
into a “showcase” purpose built Gym through the generosity of local
organisations and a lot of hard work by a band of local volunteers.
To date the Gym has been a fantastic success story with already in excess
of 100 members enjoying the facilities and work ethic.
The Gym is a wonderful facility for the town and the Committee have been
pleased in particular with the number of females joining.

The Community Gym is located next to Loggers Gym in Leys
Lane, Attleborough. A warm welcome is given to everyone of all ages and abilities.
